No, I think this is a case of the name not matching the trope. The trope as written is supposed to be how you described it, but the name conjures up what we have at Short-Runners and Too Good to Last.

IMHO, this whole page needs wiped/redefined/rewritten. Why is there mention of shows that lasted 4 seasons, 3 seasons, any number of seasons that isn't one (1)? If a show peaked its first season, but continued, that's a different trope.
