  • Ashleigh Ball, best known for her anime work and voicing Applejack and Rainbow Dash alongside her musical careerMeaningless aside  is very protective of her personal life. She isn't on social media, rarely gives interviews, and doesn't do conventions (not even the Brony ones), years after the similarly private and fellow FiM VA Tabitha St. Germain eventually became much more open to fans.

Um, yes she has. She's been to Comic-Con and Bronycon a couple times, and she's coming to Everfree Northwest this year.

From reading some of these examples, I get the impression that "doesn't regularly give interviews / interact with the public = reclusive". The message I get from this article is that the default natural state for artists is to regularly interact with the public/fandom, and any other behavior from the artist is out of the ordinary. Maybe it's just because I'm an introvert with social anxiety, but I find this notion to be kind of odd. I feel like an artist's interaction with the public should be viewed as a privilege, not an expectation.
