There’s a growing genre of sf romance (? anywaynot the same as this kind- not sure what it’s called as a genre, actually) which is Romance Novels disguised as Scifi, with humanoid aliens improbably able to have sex with humans, etc. (Do we have a page for this trope?)

Voyage To Arcurus is a literature example in which the protagonist is morphed in each of the planet Tormance's regions, gaining different sense organs and mental / moral perspectives to match - This bizzare classic by David Lindley (Lindsey?) likely has it's own page, come to think of it ...
