I think the US is turning into this in real life. In fact, I keep picturing the US turning into a Galactic Empire style country.
Do depictions of the USA in the propaganda of its enemies, such as North Korea, count as examples? And if so, where? (Propaganda hardly qualifies as "Real Life", and Real Life examples aren't allowed anyway, but it doesn't fit very well into any of the other categories either, especially when it's not presented in a specific medium, such as television).
I would like to ask, do the Militarization of the US police and the current examples of racial profiling count as an example of this Trope?

Which is what the example mentioned above would count as. And the trope is about a flat-out authoritarian government, not about racial profiling or militarization.
