"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDoes Ken Harris (from Looney Tunes) count? He's animated almost all of Chuck Jones's cartoons, but at the same time, he's only ever directed one cartoon on his own.
Can his one direction credit count on its own, or does his animation work negate it?
He/they | Mostly here on my free days Hide / Show RepliesNever mind. I've looked through several examples and he qualifies.

- Henry Darger's sole opus is The Story of the Vivian Girls, in What is Known as the Realms of the Unreal, of the Glandeco-Angelinnian War Storm, Caused by the Child Slave Rebellion, A.K.A. In the Realms of the Unreal. Granted, it's a 15,000+ page beast filled with hundreds of detailed illustrations, all of which took decades to compose; it's pretty much the same man-hours equivalent of an author who might write dozens of shorter works over his whole life. He had a sequel in progress, called Further Adventures in Chicago: Crazy House. The house is either possessed by demons or has an evil consciousness of its own, very similar to The Shining. Children are lured in and are later found murdered. The Vivian Girls investigate with a male friend. Exorcism doesn't do it, a full-scale Mass in every room doesn't do it. In the last episode, Darger himself tries to solve the mystery and the girls have to pull him out of there. He never finished it.
Darger, while fascinating, isn't really an example. Nothing he wrote was ever published, and he did write multiple works. So while In the Realms of the Unreal is by far his most significant undertaking, it wasn't his "one" work.
The Masashi Kishimoto entry in the Anime and Manga folder says Naruto is pretty much his only major work and that everything else he’s written is just one-shots. What about Samurai 8? Is it not mainstream enough to count?
Ryoko.Rosearik Rikki Simons only has one voice acting role: Invader Zim, as GIR, Bloaty, and various background characters. However, he has worked as a colorist on at least one other show, as well as coloring for I Feel Sick and having two original comics to his name.
Would he count since he only has the one VA role, or would all that other stuff negate it?
Little hamsters, big adventures.i removed the example as a thesis, because i found it confussing and unnesesary let me know if this isnt ok
Hide / Show RepliesExamples as theses aren't much liked. Good on you for removing a bad one.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.
I think that as this primarily concerns real creators, this should be moved into Trivia.
There's so much I wish I could take back.
