'Negative preview coverage is rarer in video games because publishers have more methods of controlling the message than movies do, due to the difference in mediums "
If this was the other wiki I'd be calling lack of objectivity...
He's just this guy, you know? Hide / Show RepliesIt's largely untrue anyway, judging by the fact that we have a video game section.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300I'm not sure I get the "no content examples" thing here. There's not much you can say about most examples of this trope. If a movie wasn't screened for critics, it wasn't screened for critics. There's not really anything more you can say or discuss, other than just listing movies that weren't screened for critics.
Edited by PurpleWarrior13 Hide / Show RepliesThe trope is not "the work was not screened for critics". It also involves the lack of reviews, for one thing.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhy does the "It's not *FOR* critics" argument get so wildly mocked? It's basically just an attempt at avoiding Critical Dissonance.
Hide / Show RepliesBecause it was started by a director in an attempt to dodge criticism.
