"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman Hide / Show RepliesWell, seeing as that name change/definition expansion proposal was declined, I'm going to cut some examples that aren't "Mistaken for Racist/Anti-semite/islamaphobe".
I think this should be expanded to "mistaken for prejudiced" as i can think of a few examples of mistaken for sexist/homophobic/etc
Hide / Show RepliesThere's some examples on this page that, at this point, may have to be cut because they don't fit the definition of the trope, specifically the 2 examples of "Mistaken for Transphobe" (Transferrable machine guns, and transmissions).

Hide / Show RepliesDagobitus is probably talking about the phrase "you people" as explained in the Real Life folder of this trope.
Two guys walk into a bar, the third guy ducked. Is it worth mentioning that this trope (and defying it) is the reason Unfortunate Implications now require citations on this wiki?
If so, would it go under Web Original or Real Life?
Hide / Show RepliesNot exactly true - people seeing "Implications" in the flimsiest of circumstances is the actual reason.
