What if the girl is a host for a MacGuffin? I'm thinking the little sisters from the Bioshock series, where technically the MacGuffin is implanted into their stomachs.
Hide / Show RepliesI personally think that, because of all of the misuses of them, that Macguffin Girl, Living Macguffin, and The President's Daughter should get some kind of "sliding scale". (I don't know how to make it though)

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerHana "Little Han" Stoppable from "Kim Possible" might qualify. She's a "weapon who gets stronger when loved," and is able to take out Monkey Fist by himself. When Kim tries to make an insult to him, she inadvertantly gives away that Hana is "The Han" Monkey Fist is looking for.
In the Haruhi Suzumiya movie, the plot is resolved by turning a human girl back into a Robot Girl, who is a puppet of aliens. Does that not match to this trope?
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."Should Fifth Element (Leeloo) be added as an example?
Hide / Show RepliesI think it qualifies as a notable aversion. Much ado is made about how Leeloo is the Macguffin, she embodies the idea of the "perfect element" and she was fabricated from, essentially, a glove.
This now redirects to Living MacGuffin, per this TRS discussion.
