- In Star Trek Enterprise, the 2003 kickoff of the Xindi arc in the third season drew more than a few parallels to the War on Terror and September 11 and delivered a rather Anvilicious message about how the Middle East isn't made of up terrorists, but a few radical individuals decided to take violent action. [Deleted bits offending Edit Tip 12] Additionally, unlike others featured on this list, Star Trek in general has a history of political allegories, so the Xindi arc was more of a return to the form. Every series has featured stories tackling issues of the day - from the Cold War on the Original Series up to stem cell research on Enterprise. Even the sixth movie was an obvious allegory to the end of the Soviet Union.
Trek's hardly been an apolitical show then, is that right? Or is it trying to say that seasons 1 and 2 did fairly little?
