Moving example and commentary here. I haven't read Dune and can't make a call on this. I just know this kind of conversation does not belong on the main page.
- Dune has the Orange Catholic Bible, which is a blending of all Christian denominations, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and several other world religions into one central faith.
- Not a true example, since the origin of all these religions are pretty obvious or stated in the books. They were meant be related to our real-world religions, not just be a pastiche of them.
