I don't want to do it unilaterally, but I feel a lot of the examples in the Real Life folder might be better off moved to Defictionalization or The Red Stapler. Or maybe I'm misunderstanding - what, exactly, is the difference between this trope and those, at least as applied to real life?

The laconic description "Something fake becomes real" is much much more broad than the full trope description "Similar to Becoming the Mask, but with entities"

agreed

perhaps changing it to "something lied about becomes real"? On the other hand intention is important but a quick read through of examples aren't all lies in the sense of being malicious which the above sounds like.
