It's the trope namer, not the trope maker.
Become a god...stab a fish in a bagThat makes three trope namers listed on the page. I have Final Fantasy III, VI, and Star Blazers/Space Battleship Yamato.
Which is it? What is the actual trope namer?
Why is this 'floating continent'? I was expecting to see Septerra Core here, which has quite literal floating continents. Almost all the examples, including the page's picture, are individual buildings, or possibly small islands at best. (copied from the old discussion; I never got an answer before the system was changed)
...Buckminster's floating cities could actually work. They wouldn't have to be so big, even. All it is is basically square-cube spam, which is what makes the facilities on board blimps expand so unbelievably fast with only incremental increases in external size. With solar panels, carbon fiber and other modern advances, maybe the floating city isn't going to stay fictional for long.
Wait, how is Final Fantasy VI the "trope maker". The main article itself mentions "The Birds" and "Gulliver's Travels"... why Final Fantasy?
