Was anyone else hoping for a Real Life section for this trope?

After seeing what was pulled out in the past from the archived discussion, I sincerely hope that no one tries adding a Real Life section for this trope.

All those examples were both extremely stupid, anti-religious, lacking in any knowledge on the subjects in question, and flamebait. Given the track record, I can't help but wonder if anyone who wants to see a Real Life section is just hoping for a place to sneak in some Take Thats against other people's beliefs, because any mundane example of an underdog punching out something far greater than itself can be put under David Versus Goliath.

Let me just say ahead of time to those reading who are of the "I Wanna Use This Trope As A Take That!" mindset to go read the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgement and think it over. Don't turn Trope-tan into a puppet for your personal beliefs.

could we rename this to "Did You Just Punch Out God?"? using "Cthulu" in the trope name just seems a bit too arbitrary and kinda narrows the scope of the trope

I'm not a troper, but I think the Video Games section is missing mention of Grandia 2, in which the PC's not only kill god, but end up as God's replacement. The leading man actually flies back to the planet from outerspace to be with the girls he loves, who've become the goddesses of good and evil.

Does anybody else think all the Cthulhu tropes need alt-titles that are easier to spell? After all, the entire point of the name of that Eldritch Abomination is that it's hard for humans to pronounce, much less spell.

Would Lewis killing Owen in Owen Pallett's "Heartland" count? He's the god of that universe and is worshiped as such because he created it, but it's clearly still Rage Against The Author.

There's an old game for the Commodore Amiga called "Amnios" that involves destroying a galactic "cancer" called the "Oncobloc". Basically, you fly around each planet (read: level) and destroy different structures that represent different bodily functions and senses of the cancer that has infected said planet, while at the same time rescuing female humanoids (think Defender meets Sinistar). Once enough of it has been destroyed, the whole thing gathers the rest of it's strength to launch a giant "anti-antibody" (you know, since as the one clearing up a "disease" you would be the "antibody") to fight you. Since you are an average sized humanoid-android piloting an aerospace fighter craft against not only a planet-wide cancer, but a kilometers-wide organism as well, I think that this qualifies for the trope.

Should "Most Likely To Punch Out Cthulhu" be made a seperate trope for characters who do this on a regular basis? There are such characters and the name seems a fitting one for such a trope.
