It might, but only in as much as the expectation is created that this person will also enjoy getting hurt, only for it to be revealed that they loathe pain as much or more than others. Sadistic fighters who don't like getting hurt is pretty common on its own, so it's not a real subversion as-is.
Without that expectation they're just sister tropes.
