I added Race Blind Casting and Gender Blind Casting as redirects to help finding the trope. They can be split off to tropes more specific for their names, but since they currently don't exist, they do better to redirect here.

Pulled this:

  • Except that Frodo is 50 years old in the Book, while Elijah Wood was about 20 when the first movie was shot. Granted, the ring would have given him an unnatural youth, but Frodo didn't take possession of it until he was 33.

33 and celebrating his coming of age, because he'd just left the hobbit adolescence known as the "tweens". Hobbits don't age at the same rate as humans.
