About Snork Maiden and Distressed Damsel / Abduction Is Love: I seem to remember that in some comic she actually suggested roleplaying that Moomin was kidnapping her! Does anyone have that? Did it happen or was it my dirty brain? Or was it even in a book rather than a comic? (I presumed comic since it would fit their tone better.)

You're not imagining things, I definitely remember this as well. I think it happens in both the comics and the books.
However, she does get rescued (for real) by Moomintroll. It happens in Comet in Moominland and I think it's the first time they meet. She needs to be rescued from a poisonous bush. Later on, she saves him too.
I was reading up on the film Moomins and the Comet Chase, which apparently did get an English translation... Max von Sydow narrating, with Stellan Skarsgard as Moominpapa, Mads Mikkelsen as Sniff... Peter Stormare as Snufkin...
I think the Groke deserves a mention under "Adaptational Nice Guy", because her original incarnation depicts her as an evil monster. But she's eventually reworked into a misunderstood lonely NonMaliciousMonster.
