I think splitting out Reality shows would be a good idea in general
I'm planning of separating Game Shows, Reality Shows and Talent Shows. It'll be a titanic task, so I'm going to first hear what you think of it before I do so.
I think talent shows can be kept with game shows, if only because they are still a type of competition show and there's only a few talent shows on here so far.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. Are pilots allowed? I say this because there’s some pretty bad pilots like All-American’s botched 1996 Card Sharks attempt, which is considered even worse than the eventual 2001 version. I know, you’re probably gonna say “no”, but I’m just throwing it out there.
Hide / Show RepliesThe rules prohibit listing individual episodes of otherwise okay/good/great shows, so I guess a bad pilot that somehow got picked up and led to the creation of a non-Horrible show shouldn't be listed.
Terrible pilots that were never picked up might be fair game — Calico Entertainment's Bubsy is one of those, and it's mentioned on the Western Animation subpage. But remember that it's not enough that you dislike the pilot — general consensus must be that it's terrible.
An example might be MG 2. http://www.usgameshows.net/x.php?show=MatchGame1996
I removed Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour. Most people admit that the Match Game portion was just fine, and that the show at least had an awesome theme and some decent Scenery Porn for the time. It doesn't have nearly a toxic reputation as does , say Tic Tac Dough 1990 or Set for Life.
The Food Network examples should go back on the main page. They simply aren't the type of reality shows that can be considered game shows, since there's no competition, winning, or prizes involved.
