Why is this even here?

It Just Bugs Me was renamed to Headscratchers specifically to avoid this kind of thing. No one's confused about something on the show, every entry is just people arguing about political bias on the Daily Show or arguing about the "reporter vs comedian" issue. It's an inevitable flamewar and doesn't fit the topic.

In a way it's interesting, I think severen singlehandedly will make the admins delete it again.

Severen's got perfectly valid points, however. Also, if you wanna get right down to it, conservatives like myself are "confused" about Stewart's supposed hatred of propaganda and bias and yet he's shown, on multiple occasions, to have elements of propaganda and bias on his show.

At the very least, if this article is to be deleted, then it should be moved to the Daily Show's discussion board.

I was talking primarily about his/her previous major bitch fits (it was over a full page of stweart sucks and all his fans/viewers for liking him, seriously it was the example of what shouldn't be done in headscratchers pages and the reason why the name was changed;, that fox news is great and has never said that they aren't unbiased, etc. and reposting it even after being pointed out the reasons for deletion; insulting people because they disagree with you "If you can't see the hypocrisy here, you have no brain", "Then you clearly live in la-la land." and the lack of cautious editing judgement, that don't even go in here "We will not tolerate incivility on this discussion page, just as we will not tolerate it elsewhere on the wiki.". And thanks, that's actually a good idea, I can put this here since I thought it shouldn't go in the headscratchers page, starting with:

Oh, and your part about Stevens' records being burned is laughable. It is perfectly legal to burn records in protest. I see nothing wrong with the idea in the least. It is not perfectly legal to commit murder, which is what Stevens advocated. The fact that you compare the two is outright stupid.

So let's brake this one down, first of all I never ever said that it was illegal to burn them (it was the point about insanity) just like it's not illegal to condone murder (though very morally wrong), see the fallacy there? I also never compared the two, you did.

Ah, yes, the old "taken-out-of-context" excuse. Sorry, but I'm calling bullshit on this

I also never said that it was taken out of context, I said that the part were he tried to defend himself was cut out. Taken out of context is for example this. I personally don't think it would had fixed much of the damage that was done, but the point is that it was still taken out. I don't agree what he said or think he's right, I don't even believe in his argument, however he has tried to defend himself and there are lot of factors to close mindedly point it out as he did meant it despise him saying otherwise, plain and simple.

as for "epic fail" and "hypocrisy" parts, I can't think of any other options

There is no feasible way to connect Cat Stevens with "sanity"

So since you can't by default no one else should be able to? He has been given several awards for his work in promoting peace in the world, was given the 2003 World Award, the 2004 Man for Peace Award, and the 2007 Mediterranean Prize for Peace and said this about 9/11

I wish to express my heartfelt horror at the indiscriminate terrorist attacks committed against innocent people of the United States yesterday. While it is still not clear who carried out the attack, it must be stated that no right-thinking follower of Islam could possibly condone such an action. The Qur'an equates the murder of one innocent person with the murder of the whole of humanity. We pray for the families of all those who lost their lives in this unthinkable act of violence as well as all those injured; I hope to reflect the feelings of all Muslims and people around the world whose sympathies go out to the victims of this sorrowful moment.
This of course doesn't mean that the man is a saint and that it absolves him from his comments about Salman Rushdie, though in my opinion it works well against your Black-and-White Morality view.

The only difference between Stevens and the people that Stewart usually bashes? The others are usually Christian, white, and right-leaning. Cat Stevens is a Muslim, and (supposedly) left-leaning.

Flame Bait

Epic Fail or Hypocrite?

Now you're trying to disguise the fact that you're still just bitching, so it doesn't get deleted again. Basically instead of saying "this suck and it's bad", you're saying "does this suck or is it just bad?" Sounds exactly like Spiderman's threat or menace articles. You're not "confused" about anything, you didn't even post it with the intent of getting a response since you wouldn't had agreed with anything that was replied to it.

to be honest like many before me on things relating to religion and or politics on tv tropes, I give up, I'll just wait until the page gets locked.

Is there a reason this isn't connected to the main TDS page?

Presumably also because this is one big orgy of complaining about shows you don't like and needs a stake driven through it's heart.

Complaining about Shows You Don't Like is a big part of what Fridge Logic is. Just because the article's calling out partisan actions by Stewart for calling out partisan actions doesn't mean it ought to be cut.

If it is, it'll be restarted, anyway.

Correction: I'll probably restart the article but focus exclusively on Fridge Logic rather than the bickering that it devolved into...

Yeah, Complaining About Shows You Dont Like should usually be kept out; the general rule of thumb is, if you're the only one arguing one side of an argument, it gets classed as that by the rest of the editors, and since discrestion is the better part of valor, its best to weave criticisms in more subtly disguised as fridge logic and troping in other articles give up. Lord knows I've been in the same only-man-arguing-against-an-unstoppable mob before, when I start debating religion or economics. Know when to fold 'em and test your limits to see how much opinionated natter you can squeeze in before they start complaining again go with the flow.

The ultimate irony is that I like the Daily Show. What bugged me was Stewart's lack of admitting when he's clearly let his Left-Wing bias override his sense of reason.
