Just wondering if anyone's noticed this. I'm not in a position to double-check (I don't have the Gamecube with me), but I can remember seeing that hint, and I'd love to have the inaccuracy that there are no in-game hints cleared up.
Any thoughts on the inclusion of this note?
- Magneton and Nosepass only evolve if leveled up in Mt. Coronet, which apparently exudes a magnetic field that affects the two magnet-based Pokémon. Unfortunately, nowhere in the game is it mentioned that Mt. Coronet is magnetic!note
The Japanese name 'Mt. Tengan' (not Tengam) is meant to mean 'celestial crown', which is made clear because the name appears in kanji on a signpost in game and 'Coronet' plays off the same concept of referring to a crown. The Sdrawkcab Name bit where 'nagnet' is close to 'magnet' just seems like a convenient coincidence that wasn't actually intended, especially since it doesn't really work in Japanese unless you explicitly apply English rules to the romanization of 'Tengan', but that just seems like a stretch.
I just checked, and it looks like there are ways to get Mamoswine to learn Freeze-Dry without chain-breeding now.
Does the "find 151 Alolan Diglett" mission for Sword/Shield's Isle of Armor fall under this page? I just completed it after spending several in-game hours being driven insane looking for the damned yellow "hairs". A blackboard in the Fields of Honor tells you how many of them are left in the world, but good luck finding them when the "hairs" are minuscule and there's a lot of ground to cover. (Not to mention that you'll get distracted by the overworld Pokémon (especially FUCKING SHARPEDO when you're out on the water) attacking you every chance they get.
Hide / Show RepliesSounds more like That One Sidequest, rather than Guide Dang It!. It sounds difficult and tedious, but not obtuse to the point where you need a guide to know what to do. The way you phrase it, you know what to do, it's just a pain in the ass.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!- A (very small) consolation is that Feebas and Magikarp are never found on the same floor tile, so basically you "just" need to fish at a certain floor tile until you encounter a Magikarp which means that no Feebas can be found there, cue move to the next tile.
I deleted this. This is an urban legend. I personally, just now, booted up my Pokemon Emerald and fished and got a Feebas and a Magikarp on the same tile.
The Shiny Leaf sidequest in Pokemon Heartgold/Soulsilver is example of this
Finishing it requires a guide and after you finish it you get a Star on your Trainer Card.
Re: Shadow Lugia, there actually is a point where a Pokémon Lab worker in the Purify Chamber Room (the one sitting at the console displaying four holographic orbs) will mention something to the effect of "I've noticed that a "best circle" (meeting the listed conditions) causes a slight energy overflow throughout the system. With nine of them, you could probably purify anything." Unfortunately, I don't feel confident enough to add it because it's been years since I played and I can't recall when it happens. Anyone out there know?
