Yeah, each part of the trilogy deserves it's own page (even though it was concieved as one book originally) especially as films like the Iron Man trilogy and Batman trilogy have their own pages but none of them have as many tropes as LOTR does
Agreed. The Hobbit trilogy has already been split into trilogy-wide tropes and for each feature, why not for this one?

Why does the Characters link for the film direct readers to the book character page (which has a note at the top—for the characters in the Peter Jackson films go to another page)?

Tabs work by looking at pages with the same title in different namespaces. Characters.The Lord Of The Rings has the same title as both Literature.The Lord Of The Rings and Films.The Lord Of The Rings, so it's the Characters link which shows up on both pages. Nothing to do about it.

Cowboy Bebop at his computer: The current trope listing suggests that the film makes the common error confusing the Fell Beasts with the Nazgul. This simply isn't true. In the first movie, during the scenes in Bree, Aragorn specifically identifies the Ringwraiths (who are still riding horses at the time) as the Nazgul. In Osgiliath, during the second movie, yes, Faramir shouts "Nazgul" when a Fell Beast flies overhead, but he knows that one of the Nazgul is riding the Beast. If you saw a knight approaching riding a horse, you wouldn't shout "Horse!", would you, you'd identify the nature of the rider, so Faramir's shout of "Nazgul" is perfectly accurate. In the third film, when the Witch King warns Eowyn "Do not come between the Nazgul and his prey", he's clearly referring to himself - he's targeted Theoden to take out the enemy commander and won't suffer anybody interfering. At no point anywhere in the movies is the word "Nazgul" used to describe anything but one of the Ringwraiths.
So, as I'm new here, what's the procedure for putting this right?
I think both the pages for the book and the film adaptations should be split, with a different page for each book or film. As it is, the page is too long.
