"•Anti-Hero: Batman is not a stranger to this trope, but unlike most other incarnations, Burton's Batman has no problem with killing people (supervillains and Mooks alike), pushing him towards Type IV-territory."
Who did he kill in the 1989 movie?
Derp. Never mind...
Edited by AzaramConcerning "Little No"... is this really a suitable example of that trope? Batman isn't saying a flat "no" and leaving it there, he's not shutting down someone else's burst of enthusiasm - he goes on to explain why, despite the widespread contamination of many different products, there isn't such a massive death toll: to wit, the poison only works when the components are mixed. It's not so much a "No." as it is a "No..." followed by an explanation. Or am I misreading Little No?
an example from the Novelization (and comic adaptation):
Batman: You're trespassing, rat breath.
Mook: Trespassing? You don't own the night.
Batman: Tell your friends. Tell all your friends.
(beat)
I AM the night.
Edited by R.G.why do we have examples from the rest of the series, when they have their own pages?
Tell Me A Lie... And Say That You Won't Go... Hide / Show RepliesBecause this started as a page for the whole series before the other pages were made, and people haven't gotten around to properly pruning this one fully.
Deleted the following Natter (that violated Example Indentation and Repair, Don't Respond) from the Good Is Not Nice entry.
- To be fair he didn't kill anyone before learning it was Joker that killed his parents (even attempting to save Jack during the Axis chemicals scene near the beginning) after that point, he starts offing goons left and right.
