Removed. The example could be returned after finding the correct trope. Compensating for Something is specifically males with sexual inadequacies.

  • Compensating for Something: The Red Queen surrounds herself with courtiers with abnormally large appendages. Except for the Knave (who really is seven feet tall and possessing abnormally lengthy limbs), they're all wearing prosthetics, unbeknownst to her. Considering her head probably makes up a third of her body weight, she probably didn't like sticking out so much.

You ask me, this wasn't Johnny's best work.

From what I heard he totally stole the show. Imagine my suprise on seeing it to find that he was barely noticable compared to most other characters, particularly the Red Queen.

Agreed! I liked him in it, but he was a minor character and rightfully so. I don't get the hype, unless it was to avoid the marketing being only women or something?

I'd like to point out that according to one of the movie tie in books, Alice's last name is spelt Kingsleigh.

Though according to the original script it's spelt Kingsley. http://www.joblo.com/scripts/Alice%20in%20Wonderland.pdf

I believe the official website spells it Kingsleigh as well.

Not really sure where, if anywhere, this should go:

  • Alice In Wonderland, as a movie, has an abundance of eye tropes. Nearly every character, including Alice, has exaggerated or unique eyes. Even the Dormouse gets a close up of its eyes. And the Hatter's eyes are part of a very subtle scene transition.

Took this out from Shout-Out:

I don't think that counts as a shout out, since that sort of body language is used a ton in film, and Alice was probably filmed before Avatar came out.
