How should we handle the villains-turned-heroes from the OblivAeon expansion? Should they have their own entries under heroes, or should we edit their heroic gameplay elements into their Villains character pages? For that matter, should we create a second profile under the tab, as I have seen some pages do?
Hide / Show RepliesTheir heroic gameplay elements already are in the Villain character pages, FWIW.
I wouldn't mind a second profile for hero tropes. And team villain tropes, for that matter. It does cut down on repeated text specifying which version is being referred to.
I've been notified that this page requires splitting due to length. Should we just divide it by section, or is giving individual teams their own pages warranted?
Hide / Show RepliesDone. For now, the Endlings are filed under Villains, but I'm open to other suggestions. There's not a lot to put under an "Other" category.
We could just leave 'em here. Let the character page itself serve as a kind of "other" category. I've seen it done on similar pages.
That works. I also added Obliv Aeon and the Vengeful Five to the main Villains section, since they're both pretty evil.
Both *are* also villains in the card game sense, so that works out fine! ;)
I was debating replacing the current character images with either all of the updated artwork from the foil cards, or a mix of the fancy portraits that GTG has for download and then the foil card artwork for the folks that don't have the fancy portraits.
Hide / Show RepliesI replaced up to The Naturalist... I do think it's at least nice having uniformly-sized images now. What do you think?
(Caveat: I used Benchmark's alt form for now because there doesn't seem to be proper card art for his normal form out there yet.)
Since it was bothering me that it was hard to look up individual characters, I went ahead and split off each character into their own folder. I also consolidated Young Legacy and the Operative under Legacy and the Chairman's folders; while they're technically separate characters, the former is a variant and the latter is part of the Chairman's deck, and it felt weird to have them listed completely separately, unless we did that for every variant and major character in a deck.
Hide / Show RepliesI think Young Legacy might have been separated out because she's her own separate character Beacon in Tactics.
Since all of the Obliv Aeon heroes are reformed villains, should we just add Heel-Face Turn to all of their character pages and spoiler it since the set isn't out yet? Or should we just make a separate folder for Obliv Aeon heroes and note that it's spoiler stuff? Do people care about spoilers for board games?
Edited by ThetaOmega Hide / Show RepliesI don't think the spoilers matter much. As for Heel–Face Turn, I don't think it applies to all of them — Baron Blade is still a villain in Tactics, which takes place after the OblivAeon event, and he's appears to only be a 'hero' deck because of OblivAeon, not because he's turning over a new leaf.
As for Deadline, he hasn't changed sides so much as methods.
One of the GTG forums' admins apparently talked to the game's writer, who said that Blade's hero turn is purely of the "Only I can kill Legacy!" variety. So it's an Enemy Mine borne of The Only One Allowed to Defeat You.
Anybody interested in the idea of reorganizing this by debut instead of alphabetical order?
Hide / Show RepliesOr, alternately, organizing it by group? (Freedom Five/Six, Darkwatch, Prime Wardens)?
Doesn't Absolute Zero deal fire damage to himself because it obeys the law of conservation of energy. For example, his shock wave power deal cold damage to several enemies, but he takes that much damage in fire damage.
Hide / Show RepliesAlthough not exactly an Expy of either, I've often thought of Unity as similar to Daitokuji Biiko (B-ko). Based on some other artwork I've seen of her, and the text that accompanies it, she also reminds me of Magneto.
Heck, I think of Tempest as Kit Fisto as a cross between Aquaman and Storm with a dash of Wolverine.
So we include Characters' original Edition appearances but should we also include which Definitive Edition expansion they appear in. You know, in case people know only Definitive Edition.
