I don't think so, unless it counts as a subversion. The anime makes it clear that Sakakura's characterization is a lot more complex than his first impression says, though his actions don't help his case (such as his Cruel to Be Kind moment towards Hajime becoming a Nice Job Breaking It, Hero moment). Junko Enoshima blackmailing and humiliating him is Played for Horror instead of catharsis, and he does prove his inner heart of gold by saving Naegi and putting an end to the Killing Game once Naegi tells him what's going on.
Edited by Mattman_the_StorytellerAccording to the Wiki, Kazuo Tengan was revealed to be brainwashed like Chisa in Killer Killer, with this image from Chapter 12 seeming to support this. Should Tengan's profile and characterization on TV Tropes be edited because of this?
Would Monaca qualify for Made of Iron? After all, in UDG, she has a bunch of rubble fall on her legs, but in DR 3, she doesn't seem to be crippled.
Hide / Show RepliesWe never see her actually standing on her two legs. She's either laying down, or her legs are hidden behind something. She could have a wheelchair
<DIE THE DEATH> <SENTENCE TO DEATH> <GREAT EQUALIZER IS THE DEATH>
Does anyone know if Juzo Sakakura counts as a Hate Sink character? I understand that while he might be initially dislikable for his actions, this trope does eventually get subverted as he goes on to save everyone else from the Killing Game.
