- Admiral Zhao in Season 1.
- For Season 2, Princess Azula for the chase arc and Long Feng for the Ba Sing Se arc at least, until Azula returns and spectacularly out-gambits him in the finale.
- Ozai is the direct Big Bad in Season 3.
