Bad naming: Shouldn't this page-set be named "Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero" because it comes from "Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru", relating to Yuusha (hero)?

  • "The dub also translates "Yuushabu" as 'Brave Hero Club,' whereas the popular translation was simply 'Hero Club.'"

...when? I recently finished watched the dub, and I only remember hearing "Hero Club"?

I'm not very used to this site but I must talk against the "Homage" trope added to the list.

The trope implies those are added on purpose, which most of the examples given don't seem to account. Even the ones where we can argue if it was intentional or not, like Fuu's blonde twintail hairstyle, is more a case of YMMV than an actual trope.

Furthermore, the examples have some serious flaws.

>The first example about Yuuna and Madoka's hair color and potential

Both are extremely generic traits, many stories have the main character being the one with the most potential, most mahou shoujo has the main character coded in pink.

>The third example about Episode 6 and the reveal

Weak similarity considering Madoka's one episode harsh truth moment is very different from the multi-episode arc Yuyuyu had. Again, the trope imply homages are intentional, and I find it hard to believe on this case.

>The fourth example about Fuu

This one is just out of the bound with information that isn't present in any of yuyuyu media and is just forcing a Mami - Fuu comparison. Fuu didn't know anything about Mankai, she just knew they would fight monster, which is already a dangerous enough activity. She didn't do it for a greater cause, she did it because she and her sister were orphans sustained by the government and said government intimidated her into forming the club. Suffering from loneliness is exclusively a Mami trait, there is NOTHING in any yuyuyu media that imply Fuu suffered from it.

>The fifth example comparing Yuuna to Madoka (again)

Yuuna on the first episode jumped into battle and punched the first enemy into dust, Madoka first transformed in the last episode of her series. Again, I feel like there is a Madoka aspect being forced into the story, on this case its odd because even in PMMM its arguable if Madoka did or did not move the plot, in Yuyuyu Yuuna is actively present in most of those points.

>The sixth example comparing Sonoko to Kyosuke

Doesn't work on so many aspects. I don't even know how to write this one, Sonoko is a character from a sister series of the franchise, a fellow magical girl, a character who is more informed about the world than any other hero and who knew exactly what she was leading Tougou into when she told her the truth. Kyosuke is love interest who knew nothing about what Sayaka was going trough and was mostly worried about himself.

- I just feel like this entry adds some half truths and is based too much on implication. There are connections between PMMM and Yu Yu Yu as the director himself said they changed Tougou going "dark" to being confused because "too many works at the time were doing it". Fuu's blonde twintails and team mom status and Chikage's dark hair with blood lily flower theme are arguable tools to make the viewer/reader feel tense and suspicious by association with Mami/Homura beyond that it just feels like a lot of assumptions with barely any basis.

The Reviews tab doesn't seem to show up for this work, even though I know that there's at least one review for the new page (because I wrote it). Did I mess up somehow in creating the new page?

Hum. Seems to be a tech bug, I feel. Something for the Wiki Tech Wish List.
