That same article says they are most likely separate releases. If they are sold separately, have enough content to hold their own as full games individually, and do not overlap significantly in content, they logically cannot be considered the same work. Since the precedent for the MGS series on this wiki is to give separate pages for separate works, to merge these pages would be disorganized, inefficient, and wasteful of work that has been done properly. I did not do any significant work on either the Ground Zeroes or Phantom Pain pages, but the current practice of keeping them separate is preferable to trashing a viable page over an issue of semantics.
