Seriously, Yasha doesn't do anything worthy of the trope pantheon, and the Hulk is a lot more iconic for just about anything Asura could do.
Not-God of War?
Am I the only one who sees this game as a Japanese company trying to one-up the Go W series? Divine character, gets killed/betrayed, his family are victims, he wants revenge and he's super-pissed... I just think they made this game so they can say "Look, our super-pissed god character is more powerful than yours".

I wouldn't say so. Asura's Wrath seems like an ultra-violent artistic experiment, with a lot less depth to gameplay than Go W. And I think all that was on purpose. BTW, God of War is by far and away more gory and brutal than Asura's Wrath. And Asura doesn't do anything new compared to, say, Dragon Ball Z. It's just presented differently (i.e. for maximum catharsis).
I have a bit of a sagesstion, םnce Asura's wrath comes out, we should give Asura a position in the Trope pantheons. Because srsly...holy shit.
