I may have totally misread it but I kind of thought it was more than implied by the scene with Caroline waking up in bed in S01E03 with a bite wound on her neck and is in a different outfit to the one we last saw her in and Damon is lying at the side. There\'s also the scene in S01E04 where she\'s trying on dresses and Damon compels her to invite him to the party with her - and then also admits he\'s going to kill her when she asks him. The scene finishes with them on the bed kissing and Caroline in her underwear.
