Then, because the clones of the policewoman would be a menace to humanity just like the original clones, she had the clones and the original fight to the death until there was only one. One can only guess why she chose this method to deal with the clones. It may simply have something to do with her unwillingness to kill, which she\\\'d already stretched earlier in this story; this way -- as in the story where she turned a girl into a monster at her request, knowing that she\\\'d use it to kill some adult film-makers that exploited both her and Fran -- she\\\'d be a step removed from the deaths and could convince herself that she wasn\\\'t actually responsible; she just set up the situation, what they did was their choice.
