Hang on. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Why is it just accepted as basic fact that Misa kills herself after Light dies in the end of most versions of the story? I've only read the manga, but it quite clearly doesn't even imply any such thing- the last image of her is leading a huge procession of Kira worshippers up a mountain in some kind of worshipful ceremony (and no, the scene DOESN'T suggest they're going to commit group suicide). OK, so in the end of the anime she's shown standing on top of a tall building, but even that is only an implication, and as mentioned, ''completely'' absent from the manga (which, as the original source material, would render her implied death in the anime DeathByAdaptation). I'd say that's a pretty significant difference.

Eh, never mind.
