Klein\'s entry:
* UndyingLoyalty: To Weiss. \"Two Steps Forward, Two Steps Back\" implies that he is far more loyal to Weiss than to Jacques and has full intention of helping Weiss stand up against her father.

This keeps being added (usually without edit reasons) whenever it\'s removed, so I\'ve brought it here.

The problem is that Weiss is definitely based on Snow White, and Klein appears to be the Seven Dwarfs rolled into one character. Cue fan assumption of UndyingLoyalty.

Klein had one scene where he cheered up Weiss after she had a tense meeting with her father. He\'s the butler, so we don\'t know if it\'s part of his job description to keep the family happy, and we don\'t know if he does the same thing for Weiss\'s other siblings.

When her father imprisoned her in her room, he warned her that if she tried to enlist the staff\'s help to defy him, the staff would side with him, not her.

We\'ve only seen one member of staff - Klein.

She masters her summoning ability while trapped then asks Klein for a favour. Cue scene end. We don\'t know what the favour is. Fans assume it\'s escape, and Klein will loyally help her, so add UndyingLoyalty to the page. It\'s not only WMG, it ignores the show\'s advance warning that Klein might inform on her to Jacques.

The problem is that Weiss is definitely based on Snow White, so the fans assume (probably correctly) that Klein is the Seven Dwarfs rolled into one character. As a result, the fans automatically assume that because the Disney version of the dwarfs were so loyal to Snow White, he is as well.

The show has not claimed this is the case at all, so fans keep adding the trope based on their own assumptions and expectations, rather than based on anything we\'ve seen in the show.

Klein had one scene where he cheered up Weiss after she had a tense meeting with her father. However, he\'s the butler, so we can\'t say if it\'s part of his job description to keep the family happy - and we certainly don\'t know if he\'s ever spent time cheering up the rest of Weiss\'s siblings (it\'s assumption to think he\'s doing this for Weiss alone).

She was confined to her room and stripped of her inheritance by her father, who told her very clearly that if she thought she could get the staff to ally with her against him, she would be wrong because the staff answer to him.

We\'ve only seen one member of staff - Klein.

She spends time in her room mastering her summoning ability, and when she does, she tells Klein she needs a favour. Cue scene end. We don\'t know if she\'s going to try escape, we don\'t know what the favour is. Fans assume it\'s escape and that Klein will loyally help her, so add UndyingLoyalty to the page. It\'s not only WMG, but ignores the show\'s advance warning that Klein might inform on Weiss to Jacques.

That\'s how the scene ends - we have no idea what the favour is. Fans are assuming she\'s going to try and escape and Klein is going to help her do it, which is why UndyingLoyalty keeps being added to the page.

This is pure WMG - not only has the show not revealed the favour or claimed she\'s going to escape, it\'s even warned us in advance that Klein might inform on Weiss to Jacques.

The show hasn\'t claimed she\'s going to escape, and hasn\'t told us what favour she\'s asking of him. It definitely hasn\'t told us that Klein will carry it out loyally but has warned us in advance that Klein might inform on Weiss to Jacques.

Adding this trope is based on WMG.
