Does anyone know if the below example is from a bad recording/worn out VHS tape or if it's meant to sound like that? Seems a bit weird to me.

Yeah. I know your comment is old, but you're right about that and since I realized the same thing I've been thinking about how to solve it. I've already dulled out some angry shouting about fandoms from the BrokenBase part. It looks more civil and level-headed now.

And, for the record, what those people were doing was basically a form of ComplainingAboutPeopleNotLikingTheShow, which I think is completely wrong and shouldn't be used seriously in any TV Tropes article.
