Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

I don't know about your question, but Sandbox. How To Create A Disambiguation Page might be helpful for the disambig page.
Edited by sgamer82Personally, I think they should at least include titles with parenthetical, such as The Lion King (1994) vs. The Lion King (2019).
@Imperial Majesty XO: That actually falls within the purview of disambiguation policy, in that the parentheticals are required for distinguishing identically-named works that share the same namespace.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I think it's fine to include such titles on a disambiguation page. Fan Myopia is a thing - sometimes fans write only part of the title thinking that it's obvious from context what the full title is, when it isn't obvious for non-fans. Having the full title mentioned on the disambiguation page might help figure out which title was meant.
The most important purpose of a disambiguation page is to help people find the right article when they're searching, so they don't just arrive at the best or first match. If people just search for "Nemesis" when they're looking for Resident Evil 3, then they'll be helped by the disambiguation page. I think that's a good enough reason to include it.
Edited by GnomeTitanYes, shortened titles being very prevalent, disambiguation pages including all of them can very much help confused tropers to find the one work they're looking for, even if the official title is quite longer.
To cite a personal example, at one time I was looking for an anime I knew was titled Maze, but the lack of a disambiguation page hindered me, and it took me some time finding the work was under Maze Megaburst Space. So I created the Maze disambiguation page shortly afterward to clear this up.
Edited by StFanIt looks like we're saying "when the word is a character's name in the title", "when it is the full title (not including subtitle)", and "when it is the full subtitle". Is that about right?
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.^ - Sounds about right.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Thank you for your feedback, guys. Now... should the conclusions we reached be integrated into Sandbox. How To Create A Disambiguation Page? And if so, how?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I did; step 4 was modified on Oct 4.

While randomly picking linkes on Ambiguity Index to refresh my memory on how to structure a disambiguation page (in preparation for submitting a request to make one), I discovered the Nemesis disambiguation and noticed that it lists several works whose use the word "Nemesis" as the head word of a longer phrase (Nemesis the Warlock) or as a subtitle (Resident Evil 3: Nemesis). Do such (sub)titles qualify for inclusion on the disambiguation page, or are entries supposed to be limited to main titles that are solely composed of the word (e.g. Nemesis)?
