Sounds like The Key Is Behind the Lock. In a more general sense it is a Catch-22 Dilemma.

Hello. There was a trope whose name i forgot and can no longer find after searching a lot. It's basically this: "You need to do X to get Y, but you also need to have Y to complete X." "You need the can opener to open this box, but the can opener you need is already inside said box." I think it usually exists in video games. Thank you for enlightening me in advance.
