Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
There seems to be a lot of shoehorning going on. Corporate jets or the nuclear industry, to take two examples, aren't genres. The trope is about genres being killed, not about similar things happening to technologies or whatever.
It seems like it could be solved by simple putting into No Real Life Examples Please (though I must ask if this action will affect the music examples)
Music is media, not RL, at least for the definitions we use.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It could also be argued that all the examples are RL, since they are about the real audience's reaction to real events. Why would, e.g., the "death" of a car brand be any more real-life than the demise of a genre?
Alright, I removed "Auromobile", "Sport" (but not pro wrrstling), "TV Tropes", and "Other" folders from Genre-Killer.
I think the Other folder Genre-Killer should be removed, any thought?
