Every once in a while, the forum is purged, and threads that haven't been posted in in a while are deleted. A bunch of liveblogs were deleted in one of the purges, and a bunch of people wanted to know it wouldn't happen again. Thus, the liveblog system was created. At least I think that's what happened.

Why were liveblogs removed from the forums? I'm not asking for that to be changed, I just can't remember what the reason was.
