The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at You Know, That Thing Where.
Designated Bullet/Straight for the Commander, depending on the situation. The Mobile Suit Gundam example sounds like it would be the latter.
Silver and gold, silver and goldI was thinking about Straight for the Commander but his targets are not really commanders (through the second example is one). Designated Bullet feels not appropriate as the examples are not personal.
I will let time flow a little to see if someone has another idead, if not, I will go with Straight for the Commander with a little reformuling.
Thanks for the answer.

Is there a trope matching the tactic of going after the strongest element of an enemy to disable them for good ?
As explained in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Main Characters under Chess Motif for Athrun Zala, this is his main role since receiving his Infinite Justice. He usually goes against those strong elements to occupy and neutralise them, leaving Kira free to do the damage, his Gundam is even specialized to force duels with his close-combat arsenal.
