Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Yes, it is. How to Create a Work Page has the details, but basically all pages should look "finished" once they've been created. If you're drafting a page, put it in the Sandbox namespace then move copy it to the proper one once it's ready. I strongly suggest reading the link before proceeding.
Edited by homogenizedYes, it is against the rules to leave an incomplete page and it runs the risk of being cut. But you can draft a Sandbox page and work on it there until it is complete.
Edit: Ninja'd
Edited by OctoyaIdeally you would work on it on a Sandbox/ page so that you can tinker with it without it being on the “live” site. If you leave it on the page it’s currently on, you run the risk of it getting cut.
EDIT: Holy ninja’d Batman.
Edited by ArctimonYes, it would be bad if you left a page with no tropes on the wiki, as that's a stub page. It's best to gradually build it in a Sandbox/ page, then transfer the contents to make the proper page when it's sufficiently ready.
EDIT: Ninja'd thrice!
Edited by Excessive-Menace THE GOLDEN AGE WILL RETURN AGAIN!Also, when you're not sure if doing something is okay, then it's generally a good idea, not just here but in all things in life, to ask if it's okay before doing it.
Edited by homogenizedThx, I saved my progress at least
I'm trying to make a page for a work I like, but I don't get a lot of opportunities to work on it each day. Is it bad if I leave a page with no tropes or otherwise lacking for a period of time?
