Snap Back or Reset Button generally, although these are possible regardless of "stakes". You can have a snap back or reset from small stakes as well.
Since we are talking about crazy-fast recovery from serious injury, Unexplained Recovery is in play as well.
can also be New Powers as the Plot Demands if Healing Factor is the canon explanation, and was not established in advance. Kind of related to Sanderson's First Law. Also Hand Wave if we're not supposed to think about it.
Edited by IronAnimationWell, Stolas is a Goetia demon, afaik they can only be hurt by blessed weapons, so I don't know if they have any sort of fast healing factor (that was established at least)
Also, would Snap Back count as YMMV or is it just a trope?
Essentially for Helluva Boss, there is an episode where Stolas, a powerful demon, is tortured and beaten to a inch of his life and had to be hospitalized.
But not two episodes later, the same character is up and at them, perfectlly fine, with the episode saying it has been a week since this incident.
What do you call a trope where there was a high-stakes episode where a character gets badly injured, only to have the character turn out to be a-ok in a small span of time, ruining any suspense or stake?
