Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Your Four-Temperament Ensemble suggestion provides no explanation how the characters show these personalities and how close are characters in these two groups.
Examples Are Not Arguable, either you're certain or it's not an example. And having a relation to a villain doesn't make someone The Protagonist.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupTo be fair, there are quite a few examples on the FTE page that are zero context, but yes, you should explain how the characters fit the different temperaments.

OP/Psytrainer:
A better place to ask this kind of question (whether something is an example of a trope) is on the Is this an example? thread.
Edited by ArivneThank you. I will keep that in mind.
So I've been thinking of applying Four-Temperament Ensemble to the main characters of Octopath Traveler II and The Protagonist to Temenos. I think what I want to write makes sense but I would appreciate some feedback. Here's what I was currently thinking:
- Four-Temperament Ensemble:
- Eastern Continent and Toto'haha Characters: Ochette (Sanguine), Throné (Choleric), Osvald (Melancholic), Temenos (Phlegmatic).
- Western Continent Characters: Agnea (Sanguine), Partitio (Choleric), Hikari (Melancholic), Castti (Phlegmatic).
- The Protagonist: Temenos arguably serves as this for the entire story, given that A number of major revelations during the Final Chapter follow up on his story and he has the most personal adversity with Arcanette.
