My understanding is that as long as we can cite a third party source calling out UI, then it counts. Yes, it is rather racist, but there are lots of racist people out there making judgment calls like this. We just document the reaction.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose meBut then that's not really a case of this falling under the trope then, is it?
(Not to mention the issues of documenting the opinions of racists as valid examples of critique tropes)

There's this entry on Street Fighter V that has me a bit worried by the conclusion it's trying to get at.
Yes, 9/11 was obviously an awful and traumatizing event in history, but this entry seems to be drawing at Rashid's announcement being problematic purely because he's Middle-Eastern, not that he's a terrorist, not that he's an evil character in anyway, there's not even anything resembling a 9/11 reference in any of his material; the only connection I see being made here is his ethnicity which, if that's somehow an unfortunate implication, I find pretty racist.
