I'm not familiar with the fandom, but that does seem a little suspect. Have you sent notifiers or P Ms?
Edited by HMSquaredYeah, that seems questionable. A Righting Great Wrongs kind of thing.
Edited by MichaelKatsuro@HMSquared: I have considered it, but their edit reasons often challenge anyone questioning their assertions to provide proof from the canon, so I think I'd need some clarification on how "canon" is defined in this case before trying to discuss this matter with them. In the case of the Second Love edit, for example, they claim that Karolina is Nico's "canonical" second love interest because the most recent series says that after Nico's first love interest died, she started having feelings for Karolina, but was too confused about her sexuality at the time to act on them. That's not really borne out by what's presented in the previous series - Nico was oblivious to Karolina's affections and thought that she was just comforting her, and was shocked when Karolina tried to kiss her. Incidentally, Nico ended up with one of her male teammates, Victor, for the rest of Brian K. Vaughan's run on the series, and as far as anyone can tell, Vaughan meant for Victor to be Nico's love interest. So the question becomes, does the canonicity of the most recent series override the canonicity of the original writer?
By now, it should be clear to all except the most dense of us that sheep are secretly conspiring to kill us all and steal our pants. Is the recent series being treated as a continuation of the original, or its own thing? Because I would say that if its a continuation, fang's edits are invalid.
They also shouldn't be challenging other people in their edit reasons. It gives a toxic "I'm right, you're wrong" mentality.
It was a continuation.
To be fair, some of their edits are good. Like when they fixed an entry wrongly saying that Chase and Nico had sex in Homeschooling.
That was why I wanted to come here and ask if it was worth looking into. It's possible that they are acting in good faith, but it is... noticeable how many of their edits play up Nico's attraction to girls (like saying that she Has a Type for non-human girls) while downplaying the fact that she had a relationship with Victor and has at the very least kissed Chase twice.
By now, it should be clear to all except the most dense of us that sheep are secretly conspiring to kill us all and steal our pants. She also was genuinely in love with Alex and started up a relationship again after Avengers Arena, while not mentally healthy considering the dark place she was in at the time it was one.
Edited by TuvokI reverted the edit on Second Love, as it was very clearly incorrect, and fangsheadforever responded by adding a comment asserting that Karolina would have been Nico's Second Love if Nico had admitted her feelings back then. This is clearly natter, right?
By now, it should be clear to all except the most dense of us that sheep are secretly conspiring to kill us all and steal our pants.Yeah. I removed it.
fangsheadforever has been going through the Runaways Title Team page and systematically editing any tropes related to Nico Minoru's romantic history in order to downplay her relationship with Victor and remove any implication that she did anything more than kiss Chase, most recently removing a Sex for Solace example that references Nico and Chase's implied hookup in the last arc of the third series. A cursory look through their edit history shows that this troper has edited mostly romance and relationship trope pages and a lot of their edits are about Nico's relationship with Karolina, and notably, they completely rewrote an entry on Second Love to say that Karolina is Nico's second love interest, rather than Victor, on the grounds that Nico was actually just confused about her sexuality during her relationship with Victor. Does this seem a little questionable to anyone else?
