Honestly, I see no reason why we should list every single dub voice actor, or—if we don't—why we should list this Spanish dub in particular.

^ I want to know if this applies in every media, not only in this very specific anime and this very specific dub.

How does he have a confirmed Latin American VA when there's no official announcement? Unless the information can be corroborated, it should be deleted.

^^ I think what MK is saying is, at what point do we stop listing VA credits? With streaming services, we're seeing shows getting regularly dubbed in at least a dozen languages, at some point listing 12, 20 or 30 different credits per character will clutter the page while not exactly providing much in the way of tropes.

In some of the ATT discussions, crazysamaritan did mention using the hidden note parameter and adding foreign voice actors under the "Other languages" text.

^^ Thanks, viking. Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. Even before streaming services, pretty much all Disney cartoons were dubbed into twelve languages at least. (In fact, I kept my Disney+ subscription for the excellent chance to brush up on my French.) So why post dub actors at all, except for the original ones?

^ I think that at least we should know the english voice actors (if the show is from a country that doesnt speak that language), since that is the most common in the world. But I see your point.

Since no one had said "yeah, keep it", I will delete it, since Netlix Latin America hasnt officially confirmed it.

^ Netflix Latin America has absolutely nothing to do with this situation.

There is an argument to be made that this is a leak, but it would be a leak on Netflix Japan's end. I'm not sure whether we'd be able to list the actor if it's judged as a leak.

^^ If we're talking people who are fluent in languages, the Mandarin voice actors should be listed. And besides, the most common translation is still just a translation. There's no reason why the most common one among many others should be listed.

It's probably rather anglo-centric to say this, but as this is an English language wiki, perhaps we should just have the original VA and English language ones.

^^ You are right, but while mandarín/chinese is an oficial language in 6 countries, I think, english is the oficial language of a lot more countries. I know that probably there are more chinese speakers than english speakers around the world, but going in that dirección is going off-topic.

And english is an alternate language that is teached in schools all around the world, because mandarín is just a lot harder, and just speaked in "one región".

And this wiki is in english.

v Off-topic because I already got the answer I needed. Bumping this thread is unnecesary.

Why would that be off-topic, though? Surely the amount of actual people who speak a language is more relevant than the amount of countries? A billion people are a billion people, regardless of whether they all live in one country or in a hundred. On the other side of the coin, a million people is just one million, regardless of whether they live in one country or sixty.

It's one thing to list the English voice actors because of this wiki being in English. But to list English just because it's a language lots of people speak, well, that's pointless. Sure, it's a wide-spread language. But in this context, it's just one translation among many.

I say that Spanish dub's voice actors or other languages should be included, as it would be very discriminatory only to include the American English voice actors, and the others were excluded only because an American troper does not like the idea of knowing that there are other languages apart of English.

In addition, many Spanish dubs are also heard in the U.S., so Spanish voice actors have the same right to be included as Americans.

At this point, we need to make a thread in the forums and come up with an actual plan or policy, because this question gets asked seemingly every week and we never have a straight answer when it get asked.
