Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Judging by the tabs, it has Comic Book, Series, and Video Game...so Franchise is warranted.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessBut does that mean that the tropes from all three go on the same page?
No, it doesn't. What gave you that idea?
^ All the comic book tropes were moved to the franchise page without any indication whether they only apply to the comic books.
Edited by WalkinshadowsTo clarify what happened, GateStarX is unilaterally moving comic book pages of various superheroes to the franchise namespace and turning the comic book namespace into a redirect.
I don't know if they got permission to do this, because I'm seeing nothing in their edit history that links to a thread or discussion agreeing to this. I know there's been a project to fix some of these pages, but I don't think this is the right way to go about it. Especially since most of the tropes for the comic namespace are focused solely on the comics, and not the franchise at large.
Edited by chasemaddiganNo, these moves should not be happening. I've posted in the thread and asked them to stop.
Even if a franchise page is warranted, it should be another page. The Punisher, the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, etc; are all long-runner comic books and must have their own pages. We may discuss if individual members of the Avengers should have a standalone comic book page or be moved to the character namespace (as it is done in that thread), but "The Avengers" in itself is a comic book that has almost 60 years of publication history. It is absurd to lack a page focused on the comic book series.
Ultimate Secret WarsYeah, that's why I brought it up here.
I’d say keep the Comic Book/ pages redirects, they used to already list non comic material anyway, so it seemed rather redundant to have both.
SKREEEEEEEONK!I just think they should be reverse because no one bothered to change the wicks. This is a recurring problem, since it just means the old namespace is going to keep getting used instead of the correct one.
I don't mind a franchise page, but I do think the comics should be split off onto their own pages, especially since the tropes themselves focus exclusively on the comics.
Changes have been undone... but the pages Came Back Wrong. Now they are simply a disambiguation page for shorter comic book works. No image, no overall description, no tropes... and again, nobody supported this nonsense either.
I mean, Gatestarx makes a radical change to those pages that nobody supported or approved, he's told that this was not fine... and instead of rolling things back, he makes yet another radical change!
Ultimate Secret WarsI've reverted the article for The Punisher comic franchise now. I will be back later for the rest.
[Edit: came back, did others, posted in the project thread]]

The contents of ComicBook. The Punisher were moved to Franchise. The Punisher. Isn't the franchise page supposed to be for disambiguating works with different media?
