Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I don't know anything about World of Warcraft, but I do know you should run that through the Get Help with English Here thread, as it has numerous grammar problems.
Agreed. It sounds as if a character is going to betray the Horde in the manual, which I doubt is what you mean.
I'm pretty sure you're talking about the well documented complaints of Horde players that their story characters inevitably become the bad guys. Two things:
- a) what trope/ymmv/trivia/page is this going on? The WOW page? The Sudden Sequel Heel Turn page? You're not very clear here.
- b) as has been mentioned, the grammar renders what you're trying to say rather incoherent.
I'm doing a cleanup regarding various Blizzard Entertainment entries, due to the fact that some of them are considered to have stealth complaints. You might wanna discuss it here
Edited by Siegfried1337 MB Pending | MB Drafts | MB DatesSeconding the grammar thing. The word "Much" shouldn't be capitalized.
The FranchiseOriginalSin.World Of Warcraft page.
Sure
- As much as later expansions like ‘’Burning Crusade’’ and ‘’Mists of Pandaria’’, became infamous for having large amounts of Horde heroes fall victim to both Heel Sudden Sequel Heel and Death Syndrome, similar happened early as Warcraft II. In the game, two Horde heroes betrayed their faction and then got killed. The difference was both characters Gul’dan and Cho’gall, later turning traitor, was foreshadowed in the manual and the games were much less character focused back then.
I can post in your thread, Siegfried?
Edited by MonsundHi there. The removal was back around October and the reason was along the same lines as previously discussed reasons like the faction debates. I should have explained that in the reason but at the time since it was a recently discussed topic, I guess I assumed that was evident.
Muramasa got.I remember that ATT vividly, the entry about Horde characters dying was never discussed in at all.
The entry never mentioned any faction discussion either, it just talked about a specific problem that fans had with for the writing for Horde characters. Zero mention was made of the writing for Alliance.
As stated, at the time I should have brought that up but didn't. That is on me for doing so, but that was what I believe the rationale was at the time for it.
Muramasa got.Well then can the entry be added back?
The entry was already added back. I think it needs more added to it since it doesn't currently convey where the issue was except "foreshadowing", but the idea itself is fine.
Muramasa got.
So a while ago, keyblade333 removed an entry about Horde characters being killed too frequently in World of Warcraft, claiming it was flamebait without giving any explanation even though it was never discussed in the ATT thread they linked? For clarity's sake, the Horde is one of the two player factions in World Of Warcraft.
Whilst long, I feel the entry works as extremely popular threads with over twelve thousands likes, do indeed mention audience frustration with Horde characters falling victim to Sudden Sequel Heel Syndrome.
Thus I propose a shorter version of the entry that'd go as following.
Is everyone ok with this addition?
