This week, E-Rod takes a look at the movie that almost killed Disney and brings it out to pastor…without mercy: Home on the Range!
Next week's victim: The Avengers (1998). Oh hey! That's a movie the Nostalgia Critic reviewed a few years back! Huh.
... How is "this town rocks" a Contemporary Reference!?!?!?!?
"Salvaged"? I had no idea the initial concept for this film was a Pied Piper story. ... was this film even set in the Old West?? At any rate, I thought the yodeling sequence was the highest point of the film, as opposed to Erod who is willing to commit sepukku in its midst.
... How is Bi-polar— you know what!? I'M DONE questioning him!! I'm DONE! For all I care, COWS are considered a Contemporary Reference to today's farms!! GOD!!!

Wasn't the original concept for this film some darker thing called Sweatin' Bullets about Ghosts stealing cows?
That sounds so dumb it would be amazing.
To Be Updated when I'm not Lazy... ....... Eric is aware that after Winnie-The-Pooh, Disney has no plans for hand-drawn animation again, right??
@Kyin: Umm, rock & roll isn't as old as old west I do agree that bipolarity itself isn't contemporary reference, though I can't speak for how old the term is so I don't know if its out of the place in the setting.
I don't know why, but people really hate yodeling.

She was using "rock" as a euphumism for "awesome". Not as a reference to rock n roll! People praised stuff they liked in that time period!! You see characters use modern slang all the time in Disney movies!! What is his deal!?

........Why the heck you would praise a rock?
"That rocked!" comes from rock the music genre <_< Same with all variations of phrase. Its like saying "Cool" in medieval times, it wouldn't make sense since its slang that doesn't come from that time period.
...Point is that its wasn't slang during old west. Please don't miss the point while claiming I missed the point :P

...
People....
.... in the Old West....
..... also....
... praised something they liked.
.... Just like we do now, right?
It would make sense.
What I'm saying...
...is ...
... that...
... they just didn't use that kind of slang. I'm not stupid. I KNOW rock n' roll never existed back then. I'm saying they used another word or words for it. This has nothing to do with setiments from the Earth. So a character in the Old West using "rocks" to express what she likes isn't far-fetched, especially if it's a movie made today, and especially in an animated cartoony movie.
Why are we even trying to elaborate on this!?
There's a difference between a pop-culture reference and updating slang so people actually understand it. For example, bimbo used to mean a stupid or disreputable guy in the 1920s. If it got used like that now without explanation, it would just confuse people.
Not Three Laws compliant.^^I dunno, why are you taking it so seriously? You need to really calm down dude and learn to enjoy the life
True Lies 'Women can't live with em, Can't just kill em'
She hates the fact she loves it
Its such a gloriously stupid movie!

This week on The Blockbuster Buster, E-Rod takes a look at The Avengers (1998).
Next week: The Top 10 Fantastic Voyage Episodes.
Mike J's got a review of Mean Girls 2 (yep, that's a thing that was made) here, and it's surprisingly more insightful and analytical than his movie reviews tend to be. Highly recommended, might be one of his best reviews.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I had no idea there was a Mean Girls sequel...I'm actually surprised ONE actor came back for this(the principal.)
To be fair, that same actor was also in The Even Stevens Movie, so it's not like he still had much prestige left to be worried about anymore.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I have a new review. Ever wanted to see a movie about the benefits of America becoming a fascist theocracy? Sure you have.

Interesting: according to Lindsay, Blip.tv will be transformed into Maker.tv.
Just a person. He/him.They say that now. That's what they always say now. But just you wait. More changes will happen....
So on latest Lesbian Talk... Gotta comment on that Link isn't technically established character, hes supposed to be blank slate that player is supposed to imagine themselves to be. Thats why hes called Link. So even if I agreed with Omega 100% (I don't, I agree more with Hagan on this subject), I'd have to side with Hagan there :P
(I agree with Omega on that I find changing any established characters to be awkward, but since like Hagan said that amount of minority characters compared to white male player characters is so radically different that I don't think its exactly bad idea to change some of them to other minorities or genders in reboots or something. However, I think it would be better to just create new player character instead of "Let's make Solid Snake black/female" since I don't see why exactly you'd need to change the old character instead of creating new one. I mean, if we want more female/other than white characters, then isn't it better to create more of them rather than changing old player characters?)

Logo movie reminded me of Futurama a lot. I wonder what the voice cast from that show would have done with the Lego characters if they had played them.
