...Who's ATLAS?
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Yeah sorry about not trashing every Faust, I actually intended to but I didn't know if you were still busy and I'd rather not make you put up with me while you're short on time
I'm sorry, but I still don't really understand what the incentive for my characters to get involved in things is. >_<
ATLAS is everybody's nice, friendly megacorp. Info a few pages back.
It's fine, Bcom, those files will give you incentive to sneak back.
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Kay, thats what I needed to know and makes me feel better, sorry faust I dont know why it was bothering me but I did not just want to let it sit and get worse.
Um, it might help if you linked the page where the prevalent information was for me to look over, if that's not too much trouble.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Yeah, sorry. I'm not trying to play this hard but I want there to be some investigation. Make things interesting. If you all are having problems just tell me an I'll set you off on something.
And that turret would have just let you kil the guards, something Ges was more than capable of-they're Genre Savvy Badass Mooks but they're not all that tough.
Also, Arc and J are intentionally taking a backseat so I can focus on my responsibilities, though I may need a breather day or two for Arc's minor plot.
[forum cryptid: it/it's]I think the issue is more that that limits the character's ability to participate. Sure a single char can clean the room of enemies, but then every other player who would like to help with that is left out.

Pretty much what Chuck said, and one defining trait of Imca is she kinda enjoys that kinda stuff, she is bloodknight light.
>.<
Aight, gotcha.although, the entire city is wired for that stuff...Imca should have a heyday with all the computers and data ports and the MASSIVE amount of technologics around.
[forum cryptid: it/it's]...Might have to play Kohaku more then. >_>
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Shiiiiit guys the plot is making references to Evangelion we're all doomed
♌Shit, I just got through Evangelion in like, three days. I promise you, it's nothing that serious. Besides, this GM loves him his references. In any case, I'm not doing anything other than what it looks like; ATLAS is up to some serious shit, and we all arrived at the right time. Considering that I put the basics together in about 30 minutes and it's been running this smoothly given what I perceive is a unique style of G Ming given the site and the game, I think y'all can indulge me in my references. You did notice that Marcia's booth in Pike Place is right next to Gabe and Tycho and that there's a Delorean in the Shunting exhibit, right?
Additionally, i believe in happy endings and playing fair. As long as no one leaves the plot alone it'll work out fine.
Besides, the scientist who scribbled that note was probably just making a REALLY bad joke.

[forum cryptid: it/it's]I feel like jumping in even if only for dumb joke.
So are things quiet or okay?
Yup.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)ANDY
ANDY, WHERE ARE YOU
Ah, I can teach you the tricks of the trade. The tricky trades. I'm a trick trader, trading tricks and tricking...what was I talking about?Scheisse, I just got home from my summer job where I had a laptop and such available all the time and now muy parents hav blocked me from using the internet at home until I find A FULL_Time job, so I'm gonna have to figure this out. I want the Neo Seattle arc t wrap up nicely as I am enjoying throwing simple challenges people's way and mixing the narrative with some deductive skills, but this is going to be a problem for me to maintain at the second as i have two hours of library computer time in a day and I need a friggin' job. I'm hoping to get my own laptop soon so I can do whatever I want but it ma be a while >.<
[forum cryptid: it/it's]One of us can always throw a little sideplot while you're occupied with other stuff to keep everyone busy , perhaps?
Man, tough situation you got there Faust. Focus on getting the fix at the moment, okay? We can come up with something to do.
♌Thanks, guys. If anything, there's plenty of stuff around, probably an arena, a speedway, hell, someone could go to Redmond and Crash Microsoft's doors; they have a fortress over there now, due to illegal activity. May need to bail them out....or destroy them, if you're a Mac. In any case, as long as it's not directly in Seattle, go make shit up, as long as it fits in the 'verse. Love the TF 2 reference, by the way. CANON!
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Nah, forget about Microsoft. We're going to Valve's headquarters.
INB4 there's still no Half Life 3 this far into the future
EDIT : Er, so does anybody actually want to take charge?
edited 2nd Sep '14 12:23:51 PM by Bassetete
♌Any one can take charge as long as the ignore the main plotline. I have a pretty good one running so far, I think (feedback, anyone?), but it's mine. Celebration Day will be important at some point but I can put it off for a while. Besides, it'll give me time to plan!
[forum cryptid: it/it's]I was fine with where it was going so far, the only thing is that your post schedule isn't the most conducive to a well oiled plot but nothing you can do about that.
I'm eh on the setting itself though. Doubt I could be assed to come up with something for us to do.
♌
I'm trying to not make this too hard, and I missed that Imca was a Sentient AI, sorry. I'm running a crazy Game Theory thing here-I was hoping that they'd go wreck the Bio Lab. There's important stuff in there.
I'm trying to judge how much people are willing to think through what they'll do in certain situations; a dumb move really could screw someone over. Not to the point of "They all fall in a pit and die", but good, logical thinking and intuition in the right moments will help a ton.
I don't know everything about every character, so I'll try to keep stuff in mind. Of course, you are in a cyberpunk Seattle, there's all sorts of ways to advance plot; one that's intentionally very loose with random events in specific places that'll come together at the end. And ATLAS is pretty Genre Savvy but sometimes they suck. And yes, they are important. Simply going somewhere and checking around will get you far, if you're a bit action-oriented. Intuitive individuals may want to find themselves a computer or such. Anyone not interested can just hang out.
On the people who are lost, here's the thing; ATLAS is up to something rotten. Their reach extends throughout the city; agents everywhere, people an things moving about, and it's all set to happen during the Celebration of the city's renovation...
I don't want to give too much away but if you wander around I'll point out any suspicious looking bastards or objects/occurrences.
Also of note is the inclusion of various Shout-Out characters, particularly the ones that are IRL from Seattle, Gabe and Tycho, for instance. They're there just for fun. They CAN be useful if you want them to be, however.
