We could mostly GM our own quests, I guess. I mean, if you wanna GM the Key Quests or Elder Dragon battles, well, better you than me. Also, I say, a Monster Hunter arc should be set firmly in the Monster Hunter world. I mean, the final enemy is going to be Alatreon, right? Might as well follow the games roughly.

Let's let events play out as they will. What happens in WAOA stays in WAOA.Zeh second options.
Second options here as well. I'm not likely to do tons of quests due to time constraints (especially with trying to get things made for holiday gifts) but I've seen arcs drag out forever with only one GM, even with two, and I've seen people drop arcs entirely due to being the only GM and either people becoming disinterested, something coming up in the GM's personal life, or even a GM vanishing without notice.
And I usually prefer homeworlds to "this is just like the game" unless it's a game I'm super familiar with anyway since it's likely there's more stuff for the people who aren't in a plot or off on an adventure to do.
(ETA: Even though I'm not familiar with Monster Hunter I'm thinking from looking at the trope/character pages that Jennifer is gonna like it there. Because kittehs.)

Stupid doomed timeline...The thing about the Hunterverse is that there's almost no firmly established plotline and very few game-native pre-created characters. So it's pretty much fanwork heaven.
Let's let events play out as they will. What happens in WAOA stays in WAOA.2nd option for both. We've already got gijinkas, so I think we've established that we aren't in the "canon" Monster Hunter universe to begin with.
I'm on the bandwagon for this.
Second option is fine.
Second, is the opinion of a man who, at this moment in time, proves to have little to do and bear on this actual subject.

Triangle.Doc Com, it's cool that you want to try to join in on happenings and all.
But having your character randomly show up where a plot event or solitary event is happening, then trying to retroactively claim they were there all along to explain away, can be pretty disruptive. Especially if it's a life or death situation.
Don't do that. If you absolutely must get in on an event while it's happening, get an okay from us first, okay?
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)So, does that mean I have to wait until I can enter a new character in a new event?
Also, greetings.
Nope, nothing important happening right now.
Which character?
I ask because I really don't think Lord English is gonna be someone who can play well with the others.
Stupid doomed timeline...Do OCs count? Because I have a few that I would like to play.
Sure. Just give us some info on them so we know what you're bringing to the table. Things like personality, abilities, that sort of thing.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)So, I return... What's going on?
Triangle.Nothing super-important, don't worry.
Let's let events play out as they will. What happens in WAOA stays in WAOA.~PLOP!~
~suddenly, something pink and wobbly is walking around in the Discussion thread~
"Chansey~" |
There is a Pokemon in the discussion thread. o.O
Stupid doomed timeline...Get the pokeballs~
~the Chansey looks at the two friendly ladies curiously and waves~
"Chansey~"
Dreigonix is confused. "Is the space-time continuum messed up THIS badly, that now the RP is invading the discussion thread?!"
Let's let events play out as they will. What happens in WAOA stays in WAOA.Well, there goes the neighborhood. Again.

True. I just thought I'd get a more "official" general consensus. Especially since I'm fairly sure that you guys don't want me to narrate the epic struggle of our heroes as they harvest Aptonoth droppings every single time.
[Also, since it got scrolled.]
