It's still a fine series overall.

So back when i first saw artwork from this show, I thought it was a Haruhi rip-off, but fans online vehemently defended it. I saw it on Netflix and started watching it, and then there was a very familiar baseball episode...

He speaks like a hippy who just spent a day sitting in a burning pile of cannabis. That and they even kept quite a few of his original Engrish lines. The ones that replaced them though, are twice as hilarious.

I can tell you for certain that AB's baseball episode and Haruhi's baseball episode are nowhere similar to each other. The variables are Key and Tanigawa. You could probably do that math yourself.

While I admit that I fanwanked about some odd similarities with AB and Haruhi, they're mostly either aesthetic or in the territory of the glory of Fridge Brilliance (or WMG).

Even if we can't, Tanigawa probably can.

You know, I would like to see this series remade into three (non-live-action) movies. I think the first six episodes would make a decent one. With two or three movie, exploring the entire setting and the rest of the characters should be possible.

I personally would like to know what's the deal with Noda and TK. Maybe it is better if the latter remains mysterious, however.

Dividing Angel Beats into three parts makes sense.

After all, it was essentially a tri-arc anime (1-4,5-9,9/10-13).

I would want to see that promised Visual Novel first. Specially if the expand the story to what it was meant to be (originally it would be twice as big, I've heard).

I would like to know just how they make stuff. Apparently anyone can do it.

I guess having the main character able to directly handle any kind of magic isn't Key's style though.
